Observation week is the first week of October. Parents sit in on any class their dancer is enrolled in, no appointment.

Season packet · August 2026 to May 2027

Everything a parent compares, on one page.

Three generations have run this studio. What follows is the whole season: what runs on which night, how a dancer is placed, what it costs with the family discount applied, and the recital date, so you can put it against the other two studios you are looking at tonight.

Class schedule

Studio A and Studio B run at the same time. A dancer in two classes on the same night pays the second at the multi-class rate.

Weekly schedule for the 2026 to 2027 season. Times are start times, all classes run 45 or 60 minutes.

Which level a dancer goes in

Placement is by the teacher after one class, not by age alone. A dancer who starts at nine with no experience starts at level 1 and that is normal.

Ages 3 to 5Intro

No prior class. Skipping, shapes, listening for the count. One 45 minute class a week is plenty at this age.

Ages 6 to 9Level 1

First year of real vocabulary. Five positions, plié, tendu, and a tap time step. Recital dance is learned from January.

Ages 9 to 12Level 2 and 3

Two classes a week is the usual load here. Level 3 adds centre work and turns across the floor.

Ages 12 and upLevel 4

Pointe is offered only after two years of level 3 ballet and a teacher assessment of ankle strength. Never on age.

Tuition

Billed monthly, August through May. Ten payments, not twelve. Nothing is prorated for a month with a holiday in it because the ten payments already account for the closures listed below.

Monthly rates. The family total is what a household with two dancers in three classes between them actually pays.
Classes per weekPer monthSecond dancerNotes
One$62$54Most Intro and level 1 dancers
Two$104$92Typical from level 2
Three$138$122Level 3 and up
Unlimited$175$158Company dancers

On top of tuition there are two fixed costs a year and no others. Registration is $30 a family in August. The recital costume is $70 per dance, due in January, and that is the last money anyone asks for before the show.

Closed the week of Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, and spring break. Those closures are why the year divides into ten payments rather than twelve.

Recital

Saturday 15 May 2027, two shows

Held at the high school auditorium, not the studio. Dress rehearsal is the Thursday before and attendance at it is the condition of dancing in the show.

Tickets are reserved seating and go on sale in April. Every dancer performs. There is no separate audition for the recital and no dancer is cut from it.

The studio

Two sprung floors, a viewing window onto Studio A, and parking behind the building.

How to enrol

There is no form and no deposit. Call the studio, say the dancer's age and whether they have taken class before, and you will be told which night to come to. The first class is a placement class and it is free. If the level is wrong the teacher moves them that same week.
